AR, Winner of Three Prestigious Awards
AR, The Enabling Partner, received the most accolades at the Construction News Specialists Awards 2022.
There were numerous winners at this year’s prestigious awards which took place in London at The Brewery, but what made AR, stand out.
Celebrating its 18th year, the Construction News Specialists Awards brought together more than 500 of the UK’s leading specialist contractors for an evening of celebration, recognition and networking.
AR was shortlisted as finalists in seven categories ahead of the award ceremony where, on the night, they collected three awards: Training Excellence, Demolition Specialists of the Year and Specialist Contractor of the Year (turnover up to £25m).
AR is a family business built on strong principles, an ambitious business plan with the mantra to work with good people, for good people. The directors lead by example, doing the right thing to deliver the very best in innovations and solutions for their clients. They also firmly recognise the commitment by their team who support one another in their shared goal to deliver excellence.
Michael Henderson, AR’s MD commented: “We are incredibly proud of our people; their hard work, dedication and humour, combined makes for great teamwork. These awards recognise our team’s skills in delivering complex projects, finding solutions and not being afraid to push the boundaries.”
The Specialist of the Year and Demolition Specialist of the Year categories were specifically for those delivering exceptional outcomes across a number of areas such as client satisfaction, supply chain collaboration, process improvement, innovation and determination to safeguard health, safety and wellbeing, amongst others..
Judges commented about AR’s award win: “The ethos of being nice people working for nice people is demonstrated by the desire to put quality ahead of quantity and the courageous way in which decisions have been made regarding the growth of the company. AR was recognised for evidence presented of the company’s commitment to the industry through the development of a degree qualification in demolition, sharing learning in an open and transparent way across the industry, working to develop skills in the sector and attract people into demolition and demonstration of a clear desire to influence practices for the better through continuous improvement.”
AR was also won therecognised for their Training Excellence award, an award which recognises specialist contractors that have put training and employee advancement at the heart of their business.
The judges commented they particularly “liked the way training was firmly embedded into their business plan and were really impressed by the commitment and passion from the founders that training was a key differentiator in professionalising their sector.”
