Vacancy for Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor (QHS&E Advisor)
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Company Health & Safety Policy is implemented consistently across the business; working with the QHS&E Manager to maintain high standards of management for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality and ensure we comply with current Health, Safety & Environmental Legislation.
This is a key position within the Quality and Health, Safety & Environmental Team and you must work to strict deadlines and be able to keep information confidential at all times.
Responsibility for Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality across the business, the QHS&E Manager will be expected to execute the following key actions:
- Write clear, concise and readily understood reports and documents for both internal stakeholders and our clients.
- Apply technical or specialist knowledge to observe, monitor, inspect and audit as necessary to identify areas of strength and weakness across all elements of the business
- Support the Operations Team with the review of risk assessments, method statements and construction phase plans.
- Undertake incident investigations, identifying root causes and proposing actions to prevent recurrence.
- Assist with the development of the business management systems.
- To communicate key business messages and procedures through briefings, training and other means.
- Coordinate External Audits and Occupational Health Monitoring across the business.
- To ensure managers implement quality, health, safety and environmental systems and procedures to meet specific requirements.
- To complete any reasonable duty that is within your capability.
Essential skills and experience:
- TechIOSH status.
- Full Driving Licence.
- 3 years’ experience in an advisory capacity for Quality, Health, Safety & Environment.
- Excellent knowledge of CDM Regulations.
