Following a serious incident in the early hours of the morning on the Narborough Rd , Leicester on Monday 29 th August 2011, AR demolition was called in to remove the rubble and debris of a former kebab house destroyed by an explosion. The emergency response team moved into the suspected crime scene immediately after police had conducted initial investigations. During excavation work a body was discovered amongst the remains. The responsible and prompt actions of the response unit ensured a smooth transfer of the body into police hands without undue disruption and prolonged exposure of the finding to the general public and press.

Once the police were satisfied that no further persons were buried beneath the blast debris, AR Demolition was given the all clear to remove the remains of the building. Again the Company moved swiftly, clearing the site within 12 hours.

Commenting on the job, Richard Dolman, MD of AR Demolition said, “This was an extremely sensitive and difficult emergency call out for my team. We knew straight away on arrival that we we're going to be involved in a potential crime scene and therefore co-operated fully with the police and emergency services. However it still came as a complete shock when my team recovered the body of the man caught in the blast. I have nothing but praise for the way they handled the situation and then quickly cleared the site making the area safe to the public”.
